Ingredients:
2 medium apples, chopped
2 cups of milk (I used almond milk)
2 cups of oats (can also use multigrain hot cereal mix)
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
1 Tbs. ground flax seeds
1 Tbs. maca powder
1 Tbs. hemp seeds
1Tbs. coconut oil, melted
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 cup chopped walnuts, or pecans, or almonds
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
1/4 cup apple sauce
2 tsp. cinnamon
sprinkle of salt
Directions:
1.Preheat oven to 375°.
2.Spray an 8x8 glass pan with nonstick spray.
3.Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir until combined.
4. Pour into pan and bake 35-45 minutes until toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the center.
5.Drizzle with honey prior to serving. Enjoy!
Notes: This recipe can be make with pears instead of apples and with walnuts, or almonds in place of the pecans. You can also omit the seeds and maca powder and you will still have a delicious baked oatmeal.
