Maple Cinnamon Tempeh

This recipe is the perfect blend of sweet and savory. Tempeh is packed full of protein with approximately 17-20 grams per serving and it makes a wonderful addition to your breakfast, lunch or dinner.


Ingredients:

1 package of tempeh (Three grain is my favorite)

1/2 Tbs. butter or ghee

1 Tbs. pure maple syrup

Sprinkle of cinnamon

1/2 tsp. vanilla extract


Directions: Melt the butter in a frying pan. Once the butter is fully melted break the tempeh into bite sized pieces and cook until tempeh is golden brown on each side. Once fully browned, lower the temperature on the stove and drizzle on the maple syrup and sprinkle with cinnamon. Stir until completely coated. Remove pan from burner and add the vanilla extract. Mix well and enjoy!


This recipe is delicious when eaten alone or added to a fruit and yogurt parfait.
